2D Shooter
This is my 2D Shooter. I plan on making the following changes:
1: I plan to change and modify the first three levels and then add a bonus level
2: I will reskin the player with a new skin
3: I plan on adding powerups (at least 2)

Your proposed modifications sound good, just be sure that if the player is all you are reskinning that you are making the new sprite or sprites yourself to earn the full points. (one thing to be aware of with this change is that the player has an animator on it and if you are not making your own animations and replacing the existing one you will need to turn off or remove the animator to make sure your cool new sprite is shown during game play)
